A live crib, complete with real sheep, lambs, a donkey, and various children from San Anton School playing the respective roles in the nativity scene, is one of the many attractions of a Christmas market being held today from 10.30 a.m. to 8 p.m. to raise funds for the school in L-Imselliet.

Cookery expert and food writer Matty Cremona will be baking traditional festive sweets, which will be on sale together with the traditional imbuljuta, while stalls will be selling a wide range of Christmas gifts.

Children will be able to meet and write their letter to Santa Claus, listen to stories, participate in Christmas craft workshops, play on bouncy castles, race on a go-cart track or have a go at a climbing wall.

In the afternoon, visitors will also be able to meet the actors and buy tickets for the local production of High School Musical to be held at the Mediterranean Conference Centre during the Christmas holidays.
