Do you usually work during the festive period?
Yes – I’ve been doing it for so long that I’m now used to it.

Do you choose to work during the festive period?
Yes. I enjoy what I do – being a product manager can be stressful but it is very rewarding in terms of the impact, and also the great people I get to work with.

We just had a successful product launch and now is a good time to take stock of what we did this year and where we’re heading next.

Do you miss celebrating the festive season with your loved ones?
I’m lucky in that I’m not desk-bound. I can work wherever there is an internet connection so I will still be able to find the time to be with my friends and family.

Has working during the festive season affected your relationships outside work?
If you’re not careful work can, and does, affect relationships. Keeping a healthy balance between work and life is hard but necessary – being surrounded by people who are understanding makes this much easier.
 
Will the organisation you work for do something to keep you in the Christmas spirit?
We just organised a charity event and we do have an end-of-year party coming up. That promises to be fun.
