Huddled up in a white blanket with matching mittens, little Mariah, the first baby to be born on Christmas day, sleeps peacefully. She emerged into the world at about 3.40 a.m. after her mother was unexpectedly rushed to Mater Dei Hospital at about midnight. The Parliamentary Secretary for Health, Joseph Cassar visited the family later.
