A few days ago, our dear friend Christine, affectionately known to us as Kri, passed away suddenly and completely unexpectedly. At the age of 73, she was brimming with life and full of plans for the future, never suspecting that the Good Lord would call her to His side without warning.

Kri, you spent your life helping others and bringing joy to every gathering of friends and family. You were totally devoted to your husband Norman and daughter Francesca, who are left, shocked and speechless, to mourn your untimely passing.

The same feelings have overcome us, her close friends. We were expecting to enjoy your pleasant company for many more years to come.

An excellent cook and the perfect hostess, we will miss the warm gatherings you so often organised and hosted for your nearest and dearest.

Our memories of you will always be of a wonderful person, warm and giving to all who met you. Your positive attitude, even after your major surgery last year, was an inspiration to us all.

You always had a good word for everyone and we shall remember you that way and try to emulate you in all we do.

Kri, you have given us a precious gift in having shared so many pleasant times together, laughing and making merry as we travelled abroad together over the years... Norman always managing to find humour in whatever calamity befell us, and you always the calming influence making sure we didn’t get into trouble.

You have left an empty space in the lives of your family as well as in our own lives. Our heartfelt condolences to Norman, Francesca and her husband Andrej. You will always remain in our hearts and in our minds as we continue our journey, looking forward to the time when, inevitably, we will meet again in the better place where you are now.
