International high-performance coach Dennis Christensen is currently conducting a seven-day training camp in Malta.

Organised by Badminton Malta with the support of the Confederation of Mediterranean Badminton (COMEBA), this training course is aimed for the better players and coaches within the association.

The training sessions are being held every day, alternating between St Aloysius College and the Cottonera Sports Complex.

Every session integrates theoretical and practical aspects so that participants can assimilate the latest technical and tactical knowhow about the game.

During this intensive training course, Christensen is focusing particularly on footwork and deceptive strokes as well as singles and doubles tactical play.

In Malta, Christensen will visit local schools and colleges to promote the game among students as well as to assist PE teachers.

During his professional career, Christensen has worked in Denmark as well as in Sweden, Italy and Switzerland. He was also the coach of both the Italian and Swiss national teams.

In a statement, Badminton Malta (BM) expressed its satisfaction at the high level of training being provided by Christensen. BM stressed its commitment to give badminton players and coaches more opportunities to raise their standards.

BM also thanked COMEBA for their valuable support for this training camp.
