The Malta Heart Foundation recently organised an awareness campaign on the occasion of World Heart Day, which included free monitoring of blood glucose, cholesterol and blood pressure in Valletta.

The aim of the event was to make the general public aware of the health risks excessive amounts of glucose and cholesterol in our blood can pose.

Many people who were monitored showed a lot of interest and were keen to know more about the risk factors associated with heart disease. Healthcare professionals present at the event were able to provide them with more information and recommendations.
