Questionable loan business is taking place in China, where lenders are reportedly coercing female college students to send nude pictures of themselves as collateral.

Chinese state media reported that some female college students have agreed to provide pictures of themselves naked, holding their identity cards, to possible lenders. In exchange, they become eligible for loan amounts two to five times the normal sum, according to state-run Beijing Youth Daily.

Lenders then threaten to publish the nude photos online if loans aren't paid on time.

The loan-for-porn scheme taking place on a popular Chinese loan website is targeting young people who have little to none financial experience.

The scheme has generated thousands of comments on Chinese websites, with many condemning it. Many have expressed their concern for the lack of authority control over the loans; others have little sympathy for people engaging in online loans.

“Are they deserving of sympathy? No, they aren’t,” one comment said. “You should spend the money you are able make. Why you spend the money that you have no ability to earn?”

A spokesman for Jiedaibao, the online loan service, condemned the “naked loans,” saying the company will work with the police to investigate such schemes.
