A Chinese delegation had meetings today with Labour and PN delegations led respectively by the Prime Minister and the Leader of the Opposition.

The delegation is led by Deputy Minister Yu Hongjun from the the International Department of the Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party.

In comments released by the Labour Party, Prime Minister Joseph Muscat hailed the close relations between the two countries and said they had brought about important developments, including the recent agreement in the energy sector. He expressed confidence that there would be more opportunities for mutual cooperation in the future.
