Over 250 children are currently rehearsing to accompany music legends Joseph Calleja and Michael Bolton in their joint concert at the Luxol Grounds on Sunday.

The children, selected out of hundreds of other applicants who auditioned for the choir, are currently fine-tuning their voices under the sharp direction of soprano Gillian Zammit. They will be accompanying Calleja and Bolton for great music pieces including Con Te Partirò by Andrea Bocelli and Nessun Dorma, from Giacomo Puccini's opera Turandot.

"Both Calleja and Bolton have performed to enthusiastic Maltese audiences before, but this joint interpretation accompanied by a young choir promises to be a surprisingly different act that entertains crowds of all ages with music that varies from classical to contemporary," said Nigel Camilleri of NnG Promotions, organisers of the concert.

"Thanks to our annual sponsor HSBC, we are in a position not only to bring the Maltese stage at a par with top concert cities around the world with performers like Calleja and Bolton, who both have a strong following in Malta, this time we are also giving children a taste of what it is like to sing along top notch professionals."
