Palazzo Falson's 2008 Christmas calendar of activities included two sessions of readings for children.

The first session was held on December 14 during which Ellen Beunderman read in English for a sizable group of children. The reading was further animated with an impromptu sketch in which the children acted out the Christmas-themed poem that was being read out to them.

A reading in Maltese was held last Saturday with author Trevor Zahra. Clearly intrigued by the readings, the children put several questions and also shared their experiences of crib-making, Christmas sermons and poems. During the readings, the children were presented with fun worksheets to take home with them. The next event will be held on Saturday and will consist of an art-making workshop, organised and led by Valentina Lupo,. The subject of the workshop will be illuminated manuscripts and initials. Participation by children, between six and 12 years old and all materials to be used are free of charge.
