The Equal Partners Foundation, in collaboration with all Maltese schools, is organising Valletta Week 2010 as part of Partners in Culture, during which schoolchildren are accompanied around places of cultural heritage.

Valletta Week 2010 is being held from tomorrow until November 30. During this activity, schoolchildren will have the opportunity to visit The Malta Experience, The Knights Hospitallers, the War Museum, Fort St Elmo, The Bell Monument and The Lower Barrakka Gardens.

Some 800 students will be participating in this Valletta Week. Besides teachers and LSAs, there will be a group of volunteers from the Equal Partners Foundation who will be accompanying the students.

Valletta Week will be opened officially tomorrow, with an address by Kate Gonzi. Present at the opening will be members on the committee of the Equal Partners Foundation,. Bank of Valletta marketing manager Charles Azzopardi will present a donation to the foundation.

The Equal Partners Foundation is a parent-run, non-profit foundation supporting close to 300 families of people with disability or learning difficulties. The foundation has been active in the community for the last 12 years.

The foundation relies on fees, sponsorships, fund-raising and voluntary work. Those wishing to make a donation to the cause may do so by sending an SMS to 5061 8063 for €4.66 or to 5061 9207 for €11.65.
