Chiara is getting ready to hit the Red Square in Moscow tonight, where she has been invited to sing her song What If We at two parties that Ukraine, Cyprus and Greece are throwing at the Euroclub.

Looking relaxed, after a late breakfast and quiet afternoon spent shopping for her daughter, Chiara said she is in control and relaxed. Her two rehearsals went well overall and she was happy that the production team conceded to change the backdrop of her song.

Now that the previous water underworld has been replaced with blue hues and a starry night, Chiara has yet to decide whether to keep the dry ice effect.

During Friday's reheasal, the doors to the stage were open and the dry ice was blown everywhere: "It affected my voice and I desperately needed to drink a glass of water - the dry ice meant I had a dry throat."

"They promised to keep the doors closed during Monday's dress rehearsal and we'll try it out again and see how it goes."

The feedback to Malta's entry has been good and the fact this is the third time Chiara is competing helps because there is a sense of familiarity and friendship... except from The Netherlands.

One of the singers from the group The Toppers was publicly heard mocking Chiara's figure and passing nasty jokes about her weight.

"But I can assure Malta that I can take it all, whether it's the dry ice gone wrong or snide remarks. I'm being pampered here and nothing is going to get in my way," she said.

Chiara has a day of rest tomorrow as the finalists take over the stage to rehearse for Saturday's final of the Eurovision Song Contest. The Russians are going the extra mile to put on a lavish show and Prime Minister Vladimir Putin visited the Olympiyski Arena earlier today to view the last minute preparations. Security was tight as he was given a short guided tour of the arena.
