Two men who allegedly stole a doctor’s laptop were yesterday remanded in custody after pleading not guilty to the charges.

Ivan Camilleri, 35, and Italian national Gianluca Torres, 37, both of St Paul’s Bay, were accused of taking the computer from the Floriana health centre at about 6 p.m. on Thursday after Mr Camilleri complained of a toothache.

Mr Camilleri also denied breaching the conditions of a previous release and Mr Torres denied relapsing.

Magistrate Marseann Farrugia refused bail after taking their criminal records into consideration.

Lawyer Adrian Camilleri appeared as legal aid for both men.
