A 25-year-old man was yesterday charged with robbing a 61-year-old Englishman, while the 61-year-old was charged with indecently assaulting him.

Garie Charles, a British national living in St Paul's Bay, pleaded not guilty to stealing over €23 from William Davidson who is also from St Paul's Bay sometime between May and September 19.

Mr Davidson pleaded not guilty to indecently assaulting Mr Charles at the same time.

Magistrate Consuelo Scerri Herrera, after taking into account the nature of the charges, ordered Mr Charles not to leave his house unless for work against a personal guarantee of €2,000.

Mr Davidson was remanded in custody pending testimony by witnesses in the next hearing.
