A 47-year-old Cospicua man was yesterday remanded in custody after being charged with drug trafficking.

Charles Tabone was arrested at his home on Friday evening following a raid by drug squad police, when some 12 pieces of cannabis resin were found.

Mr Tabone was arraigned by Inspector Pierre Grech. Lawyers Franco Debono and Marion Camilleri appeared for the accused.

A 19-year-old from Senglea is also helping the police with their inquiries after he too was found in possession of a piece of resin.
