A 26-year-old man was yesterday charged with defrauding the company jointly owned by the family of former Chief Justice Noel Arrigo, NM Arrigo Ltd.

Duncan Buttigieg, of Għaxaq, pleaded not guilty to defrauding the firm of €3,000 using the credit card details of someone else between May and August 2009.

Police Inspector Maurice Curmi prosecuted.

Lawyers José Herrera and Veronique Dalli appeared for Mr Buttigieg.
