A 26-year-old French man was yesterday charged with defrauding several banks by using 14 false credit cards. Amine Halit pleaded not guilty to making use of the false cards before Magistrate Miriam Hayman. Mr Halit was remanded in custody. Police Inspector Ian Abdilla prosecuted. Lawyer Stephen Tonna Lowell represented the accused.
