Reigning champions Hibs Medsea needed extra-time to tame McDonald's Depiro and maintain their unbeaten record in the National League.
Leaders Luxol made it five wins in a row after beating Starlites Sports Experience while Loyola Allcare Insurance had the better of St Andrews.
In the match of the weekend, Depiro sent the game into extra-time with two free-throws by Antoinette Borg but then they failed to get another point on board. Hibs relied on their experience to obtain their fourth victory.
It was a tense affair with Hibs making a strong start to open a 13-4 lead.
Depiro improved to narrow the gap to a single point by half-time, 28-27.
After the interval, Depiro continued were they left off in the second session to forge 37-33 ahead. Hibs refused to panic and duly regained the lead going into the final quarter, 47-45.
Depiro's last-gasp efforts kept them in the game as they scored two consecutive baskets and two free-throws to tie the score at 58-58.
But extra-time belonged to Hibs who chalked up 11 points without reply for a 69-58 victory.
Luxol stormed clear of Starlites after half-time as the latter had shared the exchange in the first two quarters. Having changed ends 31-24 ahead, Luxol hit top gear after the interval to emerge 75-32 winners with Starlites failing to score a point in the last session.
Loyola ended a run of two consecutive defeats with a deserved win over St Andrews who had several players missing.
After a somewhat balanced start, Loyola gained the upperhand to lead 33-16 at half-time.
With St Andrews unable to trouble their opponents, Loyola went on to win 57-33.
