Public officials with an interest in EU affairs, economists, academics and the general public are being invited to attend the third in a series of public lectures and workshops in economics and finance with the topic ‘Ten years in Economic and Monetary Union – Malta’s Experience’.

The lecture, which will be delivered by Rita Schembri, head of the Economic Analysis Department of the Central Bank of Malta, will look at the main considerations leading to Malta’s adoption of the euro in 2008 and the factors which contributed to a smooth integration in the euro area thereafter.

The lecture will be held on July 3 at 11am at Binja Laparelli, Central Bank of Malta (entrance from Triton’s Square, Valletta). Admission is free of charge but registration is required on publicrelations@centralbankmalta.org.
