St Clare College Primary B School, San Ġwann, recently held an exhibition focusing on diversity in the American continent.

The exhibition was held in the school foyer and included posters, charts, models, flags, maps, and so on. These exhibits were created by students of the school.

While creating their projects, the children were learning about different cultures within the American continent.

Students were also shown Powerpoint presentations on the different countries in the continent and they were also taught some traditional folk songs.

They also participated in Zumba dance in the school yard and other activities, such as cooking and crafts, were held on the same theme.

The college has been working on a project entitled ‘Together We Grow Differently’ for the past four years, to celebrate the diversity of the different continents.

The main aim of this project is to encourage students and the school community to acknowledge and accept differences among individuals and learn to respect others.

Past projects have focused on the Asian, European, African and the Australasian (Oceania) continents.
