The Bishop Nikol Cauchi Foundation together with the Gozo Diocese will be releasing a book on March 3 containing all the articles written by the late bishop in The Times and The Sunday Times between 2002 and 2010.

It was Mgr Cauchi’s wish the articles, mainly on socio-religious subjects, be published in a book. The news was made public by Gozo Bishop Mario Grech on Sunday during a meeting he held with priests’ relatives at the diocese’s seminary.

The 200-page, A4-size book, which has a limited print run and will contain more than 60 articles, will also feature a large number of colour and black and white photographs of Mgr Cauchi at various stages of his life because it is also intended to be a commemorative publication to celebrate his life.

It is being launched the day after what would have been Mgr Cauchi’s 82nd birthday, when Mass for the repose of his soul will be said at the Good Shepherd Pastoral Centre.

The bishop passed away on November 15, 2010, after a short illness.

All proceeds from the book, being printed by Progress Press and has received the support of FXB, HSBC, Ta Ċenċ Hotel and Bank of Valletta, will go towards the Bishop Nikol Cauchi Foundation, which aims to promote dialogue through socio-cultural and religious activities.

It will be available for sale at all leading bookshops.
