A giant statue of a stray cat was inaugurated yesterday at the national park in Ta' Qali. The Qattus project is the work of Matthew Pandolfino, a Maltese fine arts student, and is meant as "public art" where other artists can use the cat as a blank canvas for their ideas. The artist's aim is to propagate a "public art movement", much like the way that stray cats reproduce. For more information, visit www.matthewpandolfino.com.
