The Royal Navy Black Cats helicopter display team will be among the attractions at this weekend’s Malta International Airshow. The participation of the Black Cats from 825 Naval Air Squadron marks its return to Malta, the squadron having been formed at Ħal Far in 1935.

Its insignia bears the Knights of Malta’s eight-pointed cross, with a superimposed eagle signifying the connection between the squadron and Malta. Two Wildcat helicopters were brought on two C17 flights yesterday for the display.
