Students at the Institute of Tourism Studies won 10 awards at the 2007 Malta Kulinarja Cookery and Culinary Arts Championships, the institute said.

Neil Caruana, James Schiavone and Ruth Sammut won the Gold Award, Best In Class and Best Food and Best Service in the Cook and Serve event.

Stephen Camilleri, Nicolette Borg and Sean Camilleri won the Silver Award for the same event.

Daniel Hollington, Hiriam Cassar and Alina Busuttil won the Bronze Award while Philip Bugavong, Charlot Cauchi and Tristan Falzon won the Merit Award.

Jan Pace got the Silver Award for the Plated Dessert event and Jessica Muscat netted the Bronze Award for the First Course Dish event.

Mr Schiavone also won a Merit Award for the Lamb Dish event. Mr Pace and Ms Borg landed a Merit Award for the Traditional Maltese Dish event while Floran Fadler got a Merit Award for the Duck Dish event.
