Class B shooter George Cassar defied the odds last weekend at the Malta Shooting Federation ranges in Bidnija.

He claimed the Float Glass Trophy after winning a 50+25 competition, beating more quoted Trap shooters on his way to victory.

In the barrage final, Cassar only missed two clays to add up to his 47 points in the competition phase and finish ahead of Stanley Cardona who settled for the runner-up position with 67.

Third place was decided by a shoot-off between John Marmara and Noel Attard. They both finished with 66 but the podium place went to Marmara who kept better hold of his nerves in the decider.
