Two hooded men made off with some €300 when they held up a shopkeeper in a food store/take-away in St George's Road, St Julian's, this morning.

The two men, armed with pointed instruments, entered the shop and demanded cash from the shopkeeper, who was the only person there at that time.

They escaped with cash from the cash register.

No one was injured. Magistrate Lawrence Quintano is holding an inquiry.
