Several hundred euro were stolen last night in a hold-up on a gaming outlet in Qormi.

The incident, in Qormi Road, Marsa, was reported shortly before midnight.

The police said two hooded men, one of them armed with a firearm, entered the shop and demanded cash from the attendant. Their haul does not exceed €1200.

Magistrate Audrey Demicoli is holding an inquiry.

The hold-up was the second in as many days. The other one took place in Gzira, although in that case only one man, armed with a knife, was involved.
