A number of residents of St Julian's woke up this morning to find that their cars had been damaged overnight.

Dr Marceline Naudi told timesofmalta.com that 'walking on cars' a feature of every summer, returned last night and at least three cars were damaged with dents to their roofs and bonnets. Another had its windscreen smashed.

"Owning a car in St Julian's has become a nightmare - its difficult enough to find on-street parking, but then wherever you manage to find, your car is 'at risk'! Side mirrors get broken (often 2, 3 in a row), aerials get snapped (again, often several in a row) , cars are 'key scratched'  and other cars are walked on," Dr Naudi said while appealing for action to the taken to deter the abuse.
