A Recycling Artistic Gallery was inaugurated at the Mediterranean Conference Centre this morning by Resources Minister George Pullicino as part of the Care Creates Change in People's Lives and the Environment project.

The project is financed by the European Social Fund (85 per cent) and the government.

Another 19 countries in Europe are also taking part in the project, being held during the European Week for Waste Reduction, with the aim of creating a bigger conscience on the importance of reducing waste.

A series of activities are being held, including for children and young adults. They include a fashion show with clothes and bags made out of waste, dancing and a martial arts exhibition.

A number of seminars are also being held.

The gallery is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. tomorrow and from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sunday.
