A Dutch man was lucky to escape serious injury yesterday evening when his Fiat somehow plunged a height of four storeys into the sea near Marsalforn.

The incident happened at about 6.30 p.m. The car had been in the car park at Sta Marija Street when the incident happened.

The driver managed to swim onto the rocks and was rushed to Gozo Hospital, where he was released after treatment for slight injuries. A low wall at the perimeter of the car park was damaged..
