A man who nearly died when he drove off Ta' Xbiex yacht marina quay last month, was taken to court today and accused of reckless driving and damaging cars and boats.

He pleaded guilty.

Daniel Artur Sobczak, a 20-year-old Pole, was pulled out of his car by a policeman and rescuers of the Civil Protection Department and spent four days in a coma after the incident on March 15. He has now recovered.

He admitted to driving his Hungary-registered car recklessly between 3am and 4am on the day of the incident and causing involuntary damage to another vehicle, a dinghy and a yacht.
