Camper & Nicholsons have been contracted with the design and commissioning of the new marina in Sanya, southern China. Sanya Serenity Marina will be the only Chinese stopover in the prestigious Volvo Ocean Race set to take place in 2011/12.

Sanya Serenity Marina forms part of a development being undertaken by Luhuitou Tourism Development Co. Ltd which appointed Camper & Nicholsons for the design and commissioning of the marina, which will incorporate 400 berths and which will form part of a resort being designed by world renowned Chapman Taylor Architects.

Camper & Nicholsons consider this project as a highly significant step in their participation in China's rapid growth in the permium marina sector. It is also a major development for Luhuitou Tourism Development Co.
