Qormi FC yesterday concluded negotiations with Premier League rivals Hibernians for the transfer of U-21 midfielder Ben Camilleri who joins Stephen Azzopardi's team on a one-year loan deal.
Camilleri, 21, is the second promising talent to leave the Paolites this summer following the departure of Jonathan Caruana who joined Valletta a few weeks back.
Qormi are looking to assemble another valid squad ahead of the new Premier League season which starts on September 11.
In midweek, they were on the verge of signing Nigerian striker Abubakar Bello-Osagie to fill the void left by Brazilian Camilo, the top scorer last season.
Nigerian Alfred Effiong also left to seek pastures new but at present Qormi have two players from Poland on trial.
Earlier this month, Hibs completed the signings of two new foreign players - English central defender Matthew Clarke and Scottish striker Paul McManus.
Clarke, 29, is a former Halifax, Darlington and Bradford player. McManus played for East Fife, scoring 44 goals in 92 appearances for the Scottish Division Two club.
