The philantropic society Talent Mosti commemorated the 30th anniversary of the death of Gozitan sculptor Wistin Camilleri (1885-1979) by holding a music-literary evening at the Centre for National Culture ir-Razzett tal-Markiż Mallia Tabone, Wied il-Għasel Street, Mosta, last weekend.

The evening was presented by Maria Lewis and featured readings by Theresa Gauci, Joe Vella and Ġorġ Peresso, and performances by soprano Sandra Farrugia and pianist Simone Attard.

President Emeritus Guido de Marco was the special guest and he encouraged the society to continue organising such cultural and artistic events.

A bust of Wistin Camilleri created by his son Alfred Camilleri Cauchi was unveiled and blessed by Archbishop Emeritus Joseph Mercieca.

Following this, an exhibition of Camilleri's art was inaugurated. The exhibition will be open at the centre until Saturday.

It is open today from 10 a.m. till noon and 6 till 9 p.m., and then daily from 6 till 9 p.m. Entrance is free.
