Union Ħaddiema Magħqudin has demanded that the government acknowledge, what the union says is a longstanding issue over salaries in the health sector.

The union said the two parties had reached an agreement more than two years ago where paramedics, health inspectors and technicians were to be paid according to their job experience.

Threatening industrial action, the UĦM said the government should honour the agreement and immediately adjust employees' salaries as well as pay them the amount accrued.

The government replied that it was already honouring the agreement and asked the union to substantiate its claims so they could be verified.
