A call for artists to participate in a site-specific project to be held in Floriana in April has been issued.

Entitled, the Sanctuary project, co-funded by the EU’s Culture programme (2007-2013), it will be co-ordinated by the Geminarie Group and will include theatre, dance productions as well as multi-disciplinary performances.

The Geminarie Group, together with artscenico performing arts will organise a workshop dealing with site-specific art. Public interventions will be organised. There will also be an exhibition of photos and other material such as video and audio.

As the name suggests, the project will be based around the theme of sanctuary and recreation.

Photographers and other media-artists are being asked to submit their work, accompanied by an explanation of at least five lines. The text should be written in English as well as in Maltese and should be submitted by the first week of March.

Samples must be sent to info@geminariegroup.org 1-5 MB as .jpg, .wav or .mp4 or .avi).

For further information, contact Cynthia Tomasuolo on 2143 6384 or 9906 5177 or info@geminariegroup.org.
