The Marsascala bypass, once riddled with potholes, was reopened yesterday - after a 14-month reconstruction job at a cost of almost €10 million.

Transport Minister Austin Gatt yesterday said the project, which was mostly funded by the EU, missed its completion deadline by "only" four weeks.
