Watching the news on TV the other day I heard Austin Gatt state that if tourists who visit our country cannot afford to pay the new bus fares they would be doing us a favour if they stayed at home.

Now I am sure all of them can pay the few cents fare (most of them have higher wages than us). What I am also sure they will object to is paying more that us locals for the same service. I ask the minister if he uses the buses when in Europe and if he gets charged a different rate if he does? I guess the tourist trade needs his policy like I need a hole in the head.
