A bus driver was injured in a brawl with a passenger on his bus at the Valletta terminus this morning.

The incident happened at about 9.40 a.m.

The argument developed when the passenger asked the driver 33 of Gzira, what today’s date was and the driver mistakenly told him it was the second of January.

The passenger then said it was the third, whereupon the driver retorted that he should not have been asked the date once it was known.

The argument then developed and the aggressor allegedly punched the driver several times and then fled as other drivers rushed to the scene.

The police are still looking for him.
