Bungee jumping has come to Malta for summer and will be available afternoons until September at the Splash and Fun Park.

Considered as an extreme sport, bungee jumping was brought to Malta on the personal initiative of Liam Mangion, who teamed up with a Dutch crew who have been operating in the industry for the past 25 years.

Participants, who have to weigh more than 45 kilogrammes, will have to pay €55 for a 50-metre jump from a tower crane. Those under 18 will require their parents' permission.

The sport will be available daily between 3 and 11 p.m.
