Bundesliga clubs will continue to offer tickets for matches at reasonable rates and will not follow the English Premier League’s expensive prices, the German League’s CEO Tom Bender said yesterday.

“English-style prices will not exist in the Bundesliga,” insisted Bender.

“We can only congratulate the Bundesliga clubs on their moderate price policy.

“We still have the lowest ticket prices in comparison with the top five leagues in Europe.

“Even so, in the Bundesliga, the stadiums on average are 90 percent full.”

The Bundesliga remains the cheapest league in Europe: an average price for a ticket last season was 20.79 euros compared to 43 euros in England’s Premier League and 40 euros for a Spanish league match.
