The Zejtun local council has complained that the main roads running along the Bulebel Industrial Estate, which has just been embellished, were excluded from the refurbishment project.

It noted that the embellishment works carried out at the estate give it a more acceptable overall presentation. However, "Cospicua Road, known as Triq Tac-Cawsli, and Tarxien Road, just outside the Go telephone exchange, are in a deplorable state and should have also been included in any project concerning the Bulebel Industrial Estate". The local council acknowledged that these roads fall within its responsibilities for maintenance purposes but said that the government-allocated funds do not suffice for the works required to bring them up to standard.

"The Zejtun local council expects that attention to these major distributory roads alongside and leading to the Bulebel Industrial Estate should be given attention immediately."
