The Milwaukee Bucks won the NBA lottery in Secaucus, New York this week, giving them the first pick in this year's draft.
With the league's sixth worst record this past season (30-52), the Bucks beat the odds of claiming the top selection in the June 28 draft as they only had a 6.3 per cent chance of winning the lottery.
The woeful Atlanta Hawks, who had the NBA's worst record at 13-69 and a 25 per cent chance at the number one pick, will select second.
Unlike recent drafts, there is no consensus top pick this year with Utah sophomore centre Chris Bogut rated the top talent available.
