Brussels Airlines was saluted by a water arch upon making its first landing at Malta International Airport this afternoon.

Passengers were later greeted by a group of dancers in traditional Maltese costumes, who handed out flowers as a welcoming gesture. On board the first flight was Malta’s ambassador to Belgium Ray Azzopardi and Brussels Airlines vice-president for media relations Geert Sciot.

Brussels Airlines will be flying directly to and from Malta International Airport on Fridays and Sundays.

It also has a code sharing agreement with Air Malta.
