The Broadcasting Authority has ordered Xarabank to conduct a 15-minute interview with Opposition leader Joseph Muscat tomorrow after finding that an imbalance was caused when the prime minister was interviewed by the popular TV programme a week ago when the Franco Debono controversy reached new heights.

The decision was taken after the Broadcasting Authority conducted an investigation on its own initiative.

The Nationalist Party appealed, arguing that Dr Gonzi had been interviewed only on matters involving the Nationalist Party.

Bur the Broadcasting Authority today rejected the appeal and decided that its original decision should stand.
