The Broadcasting Authority has asked all television and radio stations to submit detailed schedules of all their programmes and adverts related to divorce right up to May 28, the referendum date.

The details have to include a list of programmes, subjects, guests and presenters for approval by the BA.

The Authority stressed to the broadcasters that they are obliged to be impartial in any subject of political and industrial controversy and current public policy.

It also reminded them that no surveys or phone-in polls may be made from the Monday immediately preceding polling day until the close of the polling stations.
