British Grand Prix organisers have reported soaring ticket sales since home driver Lewis Hamilton became Formula One's youngest champion, with around 22,000 sold last week compared to 2,500 in the same period last year. "The reaction from fans since (the season-ending race in) Brazil has been incredible," said Silverstone circuit managing director Richard Phillips. "We always notice an increase in sales when Lewis wins or indeed if any of the British drivers do well but the level of demand for tickets last week exceeded all expectations."
