The southbound part of Manuel Dimech bridge will be opened for vehicular traffic next week, officials of the Malta Transport Authority said today.

They said that work on the other side of the bridge will be taken in hand immediately.

The contractor is saying that the work will be finished by May but the officials said the Authority is in talks to bring that date forward to March.
