Wayne Bridge refused to shake hands with former England team-mate John Terry ahead of Chelsea's Premier League clash with Manchester City this afternoon.

Bridge this week ruled himself out of contention for England's World Cup squad after deciding he couldn't stand to be around Terry, who is alleged to have had an affair with the City defender's former partner Vanessa Perroncel.

The pair came face to face for the first time since news of the scandal broke before kick-off at Stamford Bridge and Bridge snubbed Terry's offer of a handshake during the traditional pre-match greeting between the teams.

Terry, who was stripped of the England captaincy as a result of the affair, extended his hand to Bridge, but the ex-Chelsea player looked away and walked straight past his former friend.
