A bride's decision to photoshop her dead brother into her wedding pictures has caused a stir online, the BBC has reported

Catherine Carter said she couldn't stop crying when she saw her brother Shaun in the photos. Shaun, who died last May in a construction site accident, was included in the photos on Catherine's request.

"Seeing him in the pictures was a miracle," the BBC quoted Catherine as saying. "It means so much to me to have a photo of him standing with us. I've framed it and have it in my living room now."

In the photos, Shaun can be seen as a faint, translucent figure alongside Catherine, her mother and step-father. The images were edited by Jelly Penguin Graphics in Aberdeen.

The photos have attracted thousands of likes and hundreds of comments since being posted to Facebook.
